Default branch feature


You can configure a default branch for a repository when creating new branches. This feature automatically sets the configured default branch for the selected repository each time you create new branches from a Jira issue.

Click + Add default branch to setup a default branch for the selected repository. The following dialog is displayed.

You can use different default branches from one repository for different projects. Take for example, the user have 3 projects and a repository that has 3 branches:

Use this function to assign a branch for the selected repository:


  1. Use the Edit or Delete options to make changes to the default branch configuration of the selected repository.

  2. Click + Add default branch to add more default branch configuration for the selected repository.
